Let me start by saying welcome! Thank you for dropping by and taking a look at what is essentially going to be a wine diary. For more info on me and why I started, check out the about me section, I have archived all previous tastings under the appropriate section, otherwise, here's what I tasted recently and just had to tell you about!

Fifi Factor 
Romney Park Merlot, Adelaide Hills, 2005
Super strange wine! Truly interesting, and really very nice. In my slightly drunken note taking I have written "almost as fun to sniff as a Pinot Noir" which really says a lot! It was amazingly complex, truly interesting array of tobacco, gameyness, raspberries, dark chocolate, cherry, eucalyptus, raisins and all sorts of other elements. However for me, the Fifi Factor was the overwhelming nose of mint sauce!!! If you can get your hands on some, would love to hear other opinions on this fabulous wine!

Penfolds Grange Hermitage, Bin 95, 1980
This was soooooo delicious. I could quite possibly have agreed to drink this for the rest of my life. Very subtle black fruits (I think I could be going off super fruity wines?), cassis, very light tannins, butter, chocolate, coffee, wet cardboard and some beautiful flowers. I must say thank you to Rob for sharing his 21st birthday present with us!
